The Orthopedic is a referral-based clinic that only treats Active-Duty Service members. ADSM’s that are seen off-post must be seen with their PCM to receive a referral and x-rays prior to scheduling with the Orthopedic Clinic.
Please bring all documentation provided at the off-post facility. Any images should be placed on a CD and brought to Kenner Radiology to be uploaded to our system.
To schedule an Orthopedic appointment, you must have a referral put in by your PCM. You also must have x-rays no older than 6 months to be scheduled for an initial appointment.
The Orthopedic Clinic does not currently offer sick-call appointments. Please report to the Active-Duty Clinic for sick-call.
As the patient, it is your right to request to be seen with a different Physical Therapist. You may speak with the front desk to schedule an initial evaluation with another Physical Therapist.
All patients must be evaluated by a Physical Therapist prior to profile extensions and or adjustments.
Yes, we do have a Chiropractor! Currently the Chiropractor is part-time and has limited appointments. Tricare currently does not authorize Chiropractic services outside Military Treatment Facilities. If you cannot get care here at KAHC, you can call Fort Eustis to receive care.
Yes, Physical Therapy has sick-call appointments for acute injuries! Acute injuries are considered no more than 2 weeks old. You must report to the Active-Duty Clinic during their sick-call hours to be triaged. Depending on the injury and availability, you will be seen by an Active-Duty provider or a Physical Therapy provider.
The Physical Therapy clinic treats Active-Duty Service members only. All other demographics are to be seen at an off-post facility. Also, as a highly utilized clinic, many chronic musculoskeletal diagnosis are deferred to the network to ensure patients receive treatment in a timely manner.
